Sandridge Barton Don’t Feed the Ponies Cider 2021 (6 Bottles) Stoke Gabriel, Devon, England

£67.50

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Our first ever cider is made in the traditional method and consists of apples, apples and some more apples. Nothing else. Lightly sparkling with crunchy, earthy apple characters and some gentle tannin.

100% Estate Apples – When we moved to the Sandridge Barton Estate, we inherited a couple of orchards. Rather than let the apples go to waste, or fall to the hands of Devon’s notorious ‘Scrumpers’, we thought we’d put them to good use. For every bottle purchased from this range, we’ll donate 25p to the Dartmoor Preservation Association to preserve the natural habitat.

About Sandridge Barton

At Sandridge Barton, we proudly build on our 40-year legacy as pioneers of the English wine industry, formerly known as Sharpham Wine. Our history began in the 1980s when Maurice and Ruth Ash planted trial vines on the Sharpham Estate, overlooking the River Dart. The first wines were released in the late 1980s and quickly gained recognition.

In the 1990s and 2000s, Mark Sharman took over the business, expanding the vineyard and introducing new varieties. Our reputation grew, with wins in national and international awards, including three consecutive gold medals at the Sommeliers Choice Awards.

In the mid-2000s, we partnered with Sandridge Barton, increasing our production and honouring our ethos of using Dart Valley fruit. In 2020, we relocated to our new home on the Sandridge Barton estate, building a state-of-the-art winery and visitor centre.

We're excited to continue our legacy, producing excellent wines made with grapes grown in our Dart Valley vineyards.
