Sandridge Barton Don’t Feed the Ponies Figgie Daniel 2022 (6 Bottles) Stoke Gabriel, Devon, England

An energetic wine with a lively spritz. This wine is unfiltered and unfined and contains the lees in the bottle. Col Fondo means ‘with the bottom’ in Italian, referring to the leftover lees sediment. This is the method in which Prosecco was produced before being overly commercialised but is now regaining popularity.
This wine is light and spritzy with green apple, lemon rind, elderflower and yeasty characters. We recommend a gentle shake before serving to distribute the sediment.
This wine is part of our new Don’t Feed The Ponies range of more experimental wines, a reference to a campaign on Dartmoor National Park to discourage visitors from feeding the wild horses that roam there. The source of the River Dart begins way up in the heart of the moors, and it’s the river that influences how our grapes grow. For every bottle purchased from this range, we’ll donate 25p to the Dartmoor Preservation Association to preserve the natural habitat.
About Sandridge Barton
At Sandridge Barton, we proudly build on our 40-year legacy as pioneers of the English wine industry, formerly known as Sharpham Wine. Our history began in the 1980s when Maurice and Ruth Ash planted trial vines on the Sharpham Estate, overlooking the River Dart. The first wines were released in the late 1980s and quickly gained recognition.
In the 1990s and 2000s, Mark Sharman took over the business, expanding the vineyard and introducing new varieties. Our reputation grew, with wins in national and international awards, including three consecutive gold medals at the Sommeliers Choice Awards.
In the mid-2000s, we partnered with Sandridge Barton, increasing our production and honouring our ethos of using Dart Valley fruit. In 2020, we relocated to our new home on the Sandridge Barton estate, building a state-of-the-art winery and visitor centre.
We’re excited to continue our legacy, producing excellent wines made with grapes grown in our Dart Valley vineyards.

Black Chalk Classic Sparkling White 2021 (6 Bottles) Andover, Hampshire, England

A sophisticated blend of 50% Chardonnay, 38% Pinot Noir, and 12% Pinot Meunier, this wine embodies elegance and precision. The Chardonnay-led profile delivers a vibrant fruit focus, while a touch of malolactic fermentation adds a layer of richness and texture, perfectly balanced by the wine’s hallmark freshness.
On the palate, expect a textured and full-bodied experience, supported by bright acidity (8.5g/l) and subtle sweetness (5.4g/l residual sugar). The wine is aged for a minimum of 22 months on lees, enhancing complexity, with an additional 6 months on cork post-disgorgement to ensure perfect integration.
A versatile choice for any occasion. Enjoy as an aperitif with crisps and canapés, or elevate everyday dining by pairing with fried chicken. For a more refined match, complement its freshness and texture with shellfish such as oysters, crab, or prawns.

Knightor Winery Pinot Noir 2023 (6 Bottles) St Austell Bay, Cornwall, England

Character: Light, Fruit-forward
Aromas: Cherry, Wild Strawberry, Spice
Flavours: Red Fruits, Gentle Oak
Style: A light and summery English Red.
Food Pairing: Pair with lamb, game, or enjoy on its own.
A pale red Pinot Noir, the colour is deceptive, not revealing the powerful red fruits hidden within. Full of wild red fruit characters on the nose, the palate is soft, with intense red cherry and gentle spice from the time spent on oak. The perfect red for summer, ideal with a BBQ.
Winemaker's Notes: Just the ripest Pinot Noir was used for this light red. The grapes were crushed and fermented partly in tank and partly in barrel. Throughout the ferment regular pump overs were conducted to extract a little more colour and weight. The oaked proportion of the blend then spent a further 12 months in oak before being bottled.
Wine: Still Red
Grape Variety: Pinot Noir
Body: Light
Sweetness: Dry
Alcohol: 12%
