Tillingham is nestled within 70 acres of picturesque hills, woodlands, and vineyards, offering breathtaking views of the Tillingham River valley, the historic town of Rye, and the Romney salt marshes. This 13th-century mixed farm is home to a diverse array of crops, livestock, and ancient woodland.
Our approach at Tillingham is rooted in progress and tradition. We blend cutting-edge scientific knowledge with ancient farming and winemaking techniques to create a unique and sustainable practice. Bacchus grapes are particularly well suited to our High Weald terroir, and produce a fresh, aromatic, crisp white wine. This 2023 vintage shows all the benefits of the long hot summer in the UK last year and is slightly more rounded and nuanced than our previous vintages, with strong aromas of pear and gooseberry on the nose and palate and with a deliciously smooth finish.
