Tasting note In the glass, this is light straw in colour with a delicate mousse. On the nose, this has strawberry, peach, and peach melba notes. 2022 produced the ripest Kerner our vineyard has ever produced. Coming in naturally at 12.8% Abv (remembering this is a relative of Riesling), there was an intensity & complexity to this variety that we have never experienced. Spritzy and refreshing, it displays vivid flavours of rhubarb & ginger compote, with a savoury, nutty background. A fantastic aperitif, or paired with pork, fatty fish, or Japanese cuisine. A once in a decade vintage.

Monte del Frà Bardolino Custoza 2024 (6 Bottles) Veneto, Italy

Monte del Frà (meaning ‘land of the monks’) gets its name from the late 15th century, when a group of Friars formed a monastery on the land. Some hundred years later, the friars leased 25 hectares for the cultivation of vineyards and fruit trees. You can, in fact, still see this document today in the Vienna’s historic library. Fast forward several centuries, and Monte del Frà is now in the very capable hands of the Bonomo family. For over six decades the family have farmed this land, now resting firmly with the third generation; Marica, Silvia and Massimo Bonomo.
A lightly aromatic dry white wine. Straw yellow, with pale green highlights. Fruity, white flowers and green apple. Flavour Dry, tangy and well-balanced.
