About Chilcomb Valley Wines
Chilcomb Valley Vineyard is a family-run haven on the South Downs in Hampshire, dedicated to crafting exceptional English sparkling wines. We’re driven by a passion for quality and individuality, rather than conforming to a traditional ‘house style’. Our vineyard’s unique terroir, with its chalk substrate identical to that found in Champagne, provides the perfect canvas for our artisanal winemaking approach. From grape to glass, we’re invested in every step of the process, from tending the vines to curating the perfect cuvées.
Since planting our 1.1-hectare vineyard in 2016, we’ve enjoyed increasingly successful harvests, with our 2023 vintage yielding an impressive 14 tonnes of exceptional fruit. Our wines are meticulously hand-crafted, reflecting our unique flavour and style. Visit us and discover the essence of Chilcomb Valley Vineyard.
Did you know?: Our bottle logo features the horseshoe vetch flower which is a native of the South Downs Area of Outstanding National Beauty (AONB), and exclusive food of Britain’s rarest blue butterfly, the Adonis Blue and its caterpillars.

Pale golden with subtle aromas of fresh apple and elderflower, our Brut Sparkling Wine is racy and fresh. Bottle maturation provides hints of biscuit on the nose, and butter on the palate. As with all our Sparkling Wines, it is made using the same traditional method found on the continent, with a secondary fermentation in the bottle.
However, using different grape varieties to those found in the traditional areas of France results in slightly less austere, more aromatic, fruity flavours which have proved to be consistently popular over the years.

Chilcomb Valley Rosé Brut NV (6 Bottles) Winchester, Hampshire, England

New release! This is the latest release of our best-selling Rosé Brut from the successful 2022 vintage. This release is made exactly in exactly the same style - albeit a little lighter in appearance - from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir and having spent over 18 months on lees.
Pale salmon in colour with an abundance of fine bubbles, the wine has notes of strawberry, some blood orange, summer citrus freshness with a little creamy nougat on the nose. The freshness continues into the palate with some lightly bready notes and a little some summer fruit salad. Reminiscent of a summer day with the sun going down, this is the perfect aperitif or paired with with light starter dishes. ABV 12%.

Coddington Vineyard Ortega 2022 (6 Bottles) Ledbury, Herefordshire, England

Ortega grapes ripen from the beginning of September – quite early for white grapes and therefore excellent in our rather damp Autumn climate.
It develops well in the bottle and produces wine of outstanding quality with a fine aroma reminiscent of peaches.
Not quite as dry as Bacchus, but not as sweet as Pinot.
