A deliciously sumptuous wine with a pale straw colour and a fine bead of bubbles. The nose is alive with aromas of fresh strawberries, red apple and lemon tart. The palate is reminiscent of pear tart-tatin with a subtle lime acidity that produces a long, elegant finish.
About D’Urberville Vineyard
Established in 2011 by Colin Hawkins, D’Urberville Vineyard can be found on a picturesque south-facing slope in Dorset. The vineyard’s name pays homage to Colin’s grandfather’s connection to renowned author Thomas Hardy. Our five-acre vineyard boasts over 5,000 vines, featuring classic champagne grape varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. In 2014, we introduced Bacchus, a new addition to our vineyard, with plans to produce still white Bacchus wine.
Our inaugural harvest in 2014 yielded an award-winning English Sparkling Wine, crafted using traditional methods and aged for two years. We’re thrilled to have received a Gold Medal at the Independent English Wine Awards 2021 and a Silver Medal at the South West Independent Wine Association Awards 2018. New release! This is the latest release of our best-selling Rosé Brut from the successful 2022 vintage. This release is made exactly in exactly the same style - albeit a little lighter in appearance - from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir and having spent over 18 months on lees.
Pale salmon in colour with an abundance of fine bubbles, the wine has notes of strawberry, some blood orange, summer citrus freshness with a little creamy nougat on the nose. The freshness continues into the palate with some lightly bready notes and a little some summer fruit salad. Reminiscent of a summer day with the sun going down, this is the perfect aperitif or paired with with light starter dishes. ABV 12%.

This is our classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. It has a pale silver lime-leaf green appearance, with continuous small bubbles. It is toasty, with under-ripe pineapple and greengage fruit behind; brut-style, balanced with creamy mousse and great freshness, and a long finish. This wine is brilliant as an aperitif on its own or wonderful paired with seafood.
