bright, fresh and fruit-driven, made with a blend of sustainably grown, aromatic varieties that require minimal intervention in the vineyard. The grapes were pressed under nitrogen to retain their delicate flavours, with a proportion fermented in neutral oak to add complexity. Secondary fermentation was completed in tank using the Charmat Method, making this wine one of the first of its kind produced in England. This vibrant sparkling white is full of fresh lemon and pear. A crisp palate of melon and green apple lead to a bright finish, making it the perfect aperitif.
About Flint Vineyard
Ben Witchell’s journey into winemaking began with a passion for learning about wines from around the world. This enthusiasm soon turned into an obsession, prompting him to leave his IT job and pursue a career in winemaking. Ben enrolled in a three-year degree in Oenology and Viticulture at Plumpton College in Sussex. This comprehensive education not only deepened his understanding of winemaking but also instilled in him a respect for the science behind it. He graduated in 2012 with a first-class degree and awards for ‘Best Research Project’ and ‘Top Winemaking Student’.
Ben’s next step was a winemaking position in Beaujolais, France. This experience taught him to think creatively and intuitively, moving beyond the traditional rules of winemaking. After two years, Ben returned to England, eager to start his own winemaking venture. A chance email to local farmer and entrepreneur Adrian Hipwell led to the discovery of a suitable plot of land in Norfolk. Detailed site analysis confirmed the potential of the site, and Flint Vineyard was born. Ben moved to Earsham, Norfolk in 2015 and has since established a thriving vineyard with over 26,000 vines covering six hectares.
Flint Vineyard has gained a reputation for producing premium English still wines, and Ben has innovated with methods in the winery, including the creation of the Charmat Rosé, the first sparkling wine made using the Charmat method. With a state-of-the-art winery and plans for expansion, Ben and his team are excited about the future, striving to continually improve and produce exceptional wines.

Albourne Estate Multi-Vintage Sparkling (6 Bottles) Albourne, West Sussex, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
As its name suggests this wine is made of selected base wines from multiple vintages to produce an approachable and immediately enjoyable style. Others call this style ‘non-vintage’ – we just prefer the name ‘multi-vintage’! The blend of this wine will vary slightly each year in order to maintain a consistent style, but it will typically be a combination of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir or Pinot Meunier and will undergo 3 years on-lees ageing.
Generous and soft on the palate, this wine is open and expressive, exhibiting delightful panettone-like aromas of sweet baked bread, dried apricots, nuts and candied citrus peels.
Albourne Estate Red Pinot Noir 2019 (6 Bottles) Albourne, West Sussex, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
This is our second vintage of Red Pinot Noir and displays a deeper, richer ruby colour and a more complex nose than our 2018 version. This is partly due to the vintage and partly due to increased use of the ‘saignee’ method during winemaking. The nose offers aromas of rich dark berries including black cherries backed by notes of cigarbox, black olives and dark chocolate. On the palate it delivers excellent body for a cool climate Pinot Noir with mature soft tannins, a balanced mouthfeel and a harmonious lingering finish. All of this wine has spent 12 months in a mix of new and old French oak barrels before being bottled by hand, unfined and unfiltered, under cork to allow gentle ageing.
Highly enjoyable with charcuteries cheese and nuts as an aperitif and great with a casserole or barbecued meats and vegetables.

Classic cool climate Pinot Noir, delicately aromatic with Red berry fruits, cherry, raspberry and spicy vanilla with soft but firm tannins.
“This isn’t just very good English Pinot Noir it’s simply very good Pinot Noir” is how our Head Winemaker, Fergus Elias, described his newest vintage of Luke’s Pinot Noir, from the superb 2022 harvest.
Inspired by our home, with flavours reminiscent of English cherries and a touch of spice. Coming from vineyards planted specifically for the creation of English Pinot Noir, this wine is rich, ripe and structured.
With our estate’s combination of the prime Wealden clay vineyards, Burgundy clones and careful winemaking, our winemakers have built Balfour’s reputation for producing some of England’s finest red wines. And Luke’s Pinot Noir is a superb example of a style which is growing in reputation and drinking brilliantly right now.
Here’s three reasons to try our new Pinot Noir now:
1. Cool climate excellence: this style is closer to New World Pinot Noir, rather than traditional French examples, but still comes from Burgundy clones. It’s the best of both worlds.
2. Lightly oaked: with judicious use of French and American barrels to add a savoury complexity and depth
3. Very on-trend: English red wine is a really exciting frontier, and this is a critically acclaimed example which is even served in Michelin-starred restaurants.
Our pairing guide: This is a light, summer fruit flavoured red. Our winemaker recommends serving this lightly chilled (just 10 minutes in the fridge before uncorking). The fresh fruit flavours and low tannins mean it will complement, rather than overpower, delicate flavours – making it ideal with white meats, roast vegetables, mushrooms and even herby lamb. Ferg had it with a butterflied leg of lamb marinated in harissa and Moroccan spices cooked on the BBQ and can confirm this pairing is also quite good

Knightor Winery Pinot Noir 2023 (6 Bottles) St Austell Bay, Cornwall, England
Free UK Delivery on Orders Over £60
Character: Light, Fruit-forward
Aromas: Cherry, Wild Strawberry, Spice
Flavours: Red Fruits, Gentle Oak
Style: A light and summery English Red.
Food Pairing: Pair with lamb, game, or enjoy on its own.
A pale red Pinot Noir, the colour is deceptive, not revealing the powerful red fruits hidden within. Full of wild red fruit characters on the nose, the palate is soft, with intense red cherry and gentle spice from the time spent on oak. The perfect red for summer, ideal with a BBQ.
Winemaker's Notes: Just the ripest Pinot Noir was used for this light red. The grapes were crushed and fermented partly in tank and partly in barrel. Throughout the ferment regular pump overs were conducted to extract a little more colour and weight. The oaked proportion of the blend then spent a further 12 months in oak before being bottled.
Wine: Still Red
Grape Variety: Pinot Noir
Body: Light
Sweetness: Dry
Alcohol: 12%
