bright, fresh and fruit-driven, made with a blend of sustainably grown, aromatic varieties that require minimal intervention in the vineyard. The grapes were pressed under nitrogen to retain their delicate flavours, with a proportion fermented in neutral oak to add complexity. Secondary fermentation was completed in tank using the Charmat Method, making this wine one of the first of its kind produced in England. This vibrant sparkling white is full of fresh lemon and pear. A crisp palate of melon and green apple lead to a bright finish, making it the perfect aperitif.
About Flint Vineyard
Ben Witchell’s journey into winemaking began with a passion for learning about wines from around the world. This enthusiasm soon turned into an obsession, prompting him to leave his IT job and pursue a career in winemaking. Ben enrolled in a three-year degree in Oenology and Viticulture at Plumpton College in Sussex. This comprehensive education not only deepened his understanding of winemaking but also instilled in him a respect for the science behind it. He graduated in 2012 with a first-class degree and awards for ‘Best Research Project’ and ‘Top Winemaking Student’.
Ben’s next step was a winemaking position in Beaujolais, France. This experience taught him to think creatively and intuitively, moving beyond the traditional rules of winemaking. After two years, Ben returned to England, eager to start his own winemaking venture. A chance email to local farmer and entrepreneur Adrian Hipwell led to the discovery of a suitable plot of land in Norfolk. Detailed site analysis confirmed the potential of the site, and Flint Vineyard was born. Ben moved to Earsham, Norfolk in 2015 and has since established a thriving vineyard with over 26,000 vines covering six hectares.
Flint Vineyard has gained a reputation for producing premium English still wines, and Ben has innovated with methods in the winery, including the creation of the Charmat Rosé, the first sparkling wine made using the Charmat method. With a state-of-the-art winery and plans for expansion, Ben and his team are excited about the future, striving to continually improve and produce exceptional wines.

As its name suggests this wine is made of selected base wines from multiple vintages to produce an approachable and immediately enjoyable style. Others call this style ‘non-vintage’ – we just prefer the name ‘multi-vintage’! The blend of this wine will vary slightly each year in order to maintain a consistent style, but it will typically be a combination of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir or Pinot Meunier and will undergo 3 years on-lees ageing.
Generous and soft on the palate, this wine is open and expressive, exhibiting delightful panettone-like aromas of sweet baked bread, dried apricots, nuts and candied citrus peels.
Albourne Estate Red Pinot Noir 2019 (6 Bottles) Albourne, West Sussex, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
This is our second vintage of Red Pinot Noir and displays a deeper, richer ruby colour and a more complex nose than our 2018 version. This is partly due to the vintage and partly due to increased use of the ‘saignee’ method during winemaking. The nose offers aromas of rich dark berries including black cherries backed by notes of cigarbox, black olives and dark chocolate. On the palate it delivers excellent body for a cool climate Pinot Noir with mature soft tannins, a balanced mouthfeel and a harmonious lingering finish. All of this wine has spent 12 months in a mix of new and old French oak barrels before being bottled by hand, unfined and unfiltered, under cork to allow gentle ageing.
Highly enjoyable with charcuteries cheese and nuts as an aperitif and great with a casserole or barbecued meats and vegetables.

Oxney Estate Organic Wines Woodhouse Pinot (6 Bottles) Rye, East Sussex, England

Woodhouse Pinot is a light and fruity red with lovely complexities and exceedingly moreish!
The demand for red wines in the UK is high, and we created this multi vintage wine to take advantage of those years that are very kind, providing heaps of ripe red fruit, as well as those years where it is a bit more of a struggle.
Each year we will add to a perpetual reserve, much like the soleras system used for making sherry, whereby we partially remove wine from barrels each year for bottling, then top up those same barrels with wine from the current vintage.
This not only blends the wine for a fairly consistent flavour profile, but is also gives the wine an opportunity to become more balanced as each vintage comes and goes. From tannins and acidity, to fruity notes and savoury notes. Bottled un-fined and un-filtered.
Enjoy at lunch or dinner with many different foods or all on it’s own. This delightful red wine may be a little too easy drinking!
