Hambledon Zéro Dosage Rosé (6 Bottles) Hambledon, Hampshire, England

Our Hambledon Zéro Dosage Rosé is produced exclusively from estate-grown Meunier grapes in the historic village of Hambledon in Hampshire.
Hambledon’s cool climate combined with ancient chalky soils creates an ideal terroir to show this grape’s true potential. This is a gastronomic Fizz, free from categorization, born from our winemaker’s artistry.
This is a fine example of the depth and complexity that Meunier can produce whilst showcasing an energy and freshness that can be independently served or paired with food throughout a meal.
A beautiful, vivid wild-strawberry pink with a hue of red onion skin on the rim. On the nose, magnolia blossom is followed stridently by perfumed wild-strawberry compote with hints of buttered white sourdough toast. The palate is rich and mouth filling with flavours of strawberry balanced by zingy tart cranberry and pithy Amalfi lemon notes. The texture is creamy with a clean, crisp, yeasty finish.
About Hambledon Vineyard
Established in 1952 by Major-General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones, Hambledon Vineyard boasts a rich heritage as England’s oldest commercial vineyard. Nestled in the picturesque Hampshire countryside, known as the ‘Cradle of Cricket,’ it stands as a pioneer of English winemaking innovation.
The vineyard’s success is deeply rooted in its geology. The vines flourish on chalky soils formed over 65 million years ago in the Paris Basin seabed, a terroir strikingly similar to the Champagne region. This unique foundation provides the perfect conditions for producing exceptional sparkling wines.
At Hambledon, we believe that crafting fine sparkling wines requires two essential elements: the finest raw materials and the expertise of world-class winemakers. Our commitment to excellence begins with meticulous care for the vineyard and extends to every stage of the winemaking process, ensuring each bottle reflects the character and quality of our remarkable heritage. 2017 vintage review in The Times by Jane Macquitty 'Bob and Sam make England’s best pink bubble in a pretty corner of the Cornish countryside. It’s constantly classy, champagne-method gem and bursts with zingy crushed-strawberry fruit. Wonder to the park with this and have a wonderful time. '

New release! This is the latest release of our best-selling Rosé Brut from the successful 2022 vintage. This release is made exactly in exactly the same style - albeit a little lighter in appearance - from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir and having spent over 18 months on lees.
Pale salmon in colour with an abundance of fine bubbles, the wine has notes of strawberry, some blood orange, summer citrus freshness with a little creamy nougat on the nose. The freshness continues into the palate with some lightly bready notes and a little some summer fruit salad. Reminiscent of a summer day with the sun going down, this is the perfect aperitif or paired with with light starter dishes. ABV 12%.

A delightfully delicate nose of wild strawberry, shortbread, citrus zest and faint red berries. Copper pink and pale in appearance, our Sparkling Rosé balances generous texture with a fine mousse. Embracing purity and precision, this debut rosé is a detailed, small-batch, low-intervention wine.
Our winemaking embraces purity, texture and balance. A detailed, small-batch, low-intervention approach allows the fruit to shine through.
"Made at contract winery Itasca by Ben Smith, who was responsible for making my highest scoring English wine of all time (2018 Oxney Chardonnay), I have no problem declaring that this is the UK’s finest Pinot Blanc to date.
The fruit comes from the Missing Gate Vineyard in Essex, where it was hand-picked and whole bunch pressed into third fill Burgundy barrels. I was lucky enough to taste a bottle late last year, and it is as lively and energetic as any white wine you will taste.
A low sulphur regime and minimal fining have left the beautiful fruit to romance your senses. This is a truly brilliant wine with sensational depth, complexity and length. It is not slippery and smooth like an Alsatian PB, but grainy, combative and textural like an epic Chablis. It is nothing short of stunning, and it is certainly the epitome of brave winemaking."
