About Laurel Vines
Laurel Vines is a unique, low-carbon, and environmentally conscious vineyard with an on-site winery, nestled in the rural hamlet of Aike, East Yorkshire, between the market towns of Beverley and Driffield. Our vineyard sits on soils underlain by Cretaceous Chalk, a porous limestone rich in calcium carbonate, which creates ideal conditions for vine cultivation. These well-structured, permeable soils retain moisture while ensuring excellent drainage, enabling us to produce high-quality yields regardless of weather conditions.
Since launching in 2013, we have expanded both our knowledge and scale, producing over 10 vintages and continuously refining our craft. In 2022, we proudly introduced our first sparkling wine, made using the traditional Champagne method—a skilled, labour-intensive process our team mastered through dedicated training and research.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We practise gentle pruning techniques to ensure vine longevity and use organic pest and fertiliser treatments to minimise reliance on agrochemicals. Managing every step of production, from grape harvest to bottling, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality in every bottle.
At Laurel Vines, we take pride in our innovative approach, creating wines that reflect the unique terroir of our region while respecting the environment. From still to sparkling wines, our passion and dedication shine through, offering something truly distinctive to wine lovers.

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
A rich and oxidative wine made with 60% skin contact and barrel matured Pinot Gris and 40% Madeleine Angevine matured in stainless steel. After one year the wines were blended where they matured for a further 24 months in old French oak barrels with some under a flor. The resulting wine has baked apple, bruised apricot and nutty characteristics with good weight, balance and grip.
This wine is part of our new Don't Feed The Ponies range of more experimental wines, a reference to a campaign on Dartmoor National Park to discourage visitors from feeding the wild horses that roam there. The source of the River Dart begins way up in the heart of the moors, and it's the river that influences how our grapes grow. For every bottle purchased from this range, we'll donate 25p to the Dartmoor Preservation Association to preserve the natural habitat.
