A complex nose with hints of ripe golden apples and lemon peels. Freshness and acidity with subtle bubbles, and a well-balanced taste.
Minerva Wine is known for its distinctive flavour profile, which is attributed to the rare geology of the Mendip Hills where the grapes are grown. The geothermal heating that occurs when rainwater falls on the Carboniferous Limestone outcrop in the Mendip Hills gives the wines their unique flavour.
About Minerva Bath Sparkling Wine
In the heart of Bath, Minerva Wine proudly carries on the legacy of the Romans, who first cultivated vines in the region. Our wines are crafted using sustainable practices and showcase the unique geology of the area. The secret to our success lies in the rare geothermal heating process that occurs beneath Bath. This natural phenomenon imparts a distinctive flavor profile to our wines, which has been cherished for centuries.
Join us in celebrating Bath’s rich wine-producing heritage. Meet Emma Rice, the UK’s sparkling wine queen, and discover the passion and dedication that goes into crafting our premium wines. At Minerva Wine, we believe that exceptional wine requires more than just good soil, climate, and technique. It demands a strong family, a determined team, and a dash of love.
Also note that our Chardonnay, Rosé and Pinot Noir are arriving in 2025! Each is crafted with care and elegance. Stay tuned for their debut!

Carr Taylor Brut 2015 (6 Bottles), Hastings, East Sussex, England

Pale golden with subtle aromas of fresh apple and elderflower, our Brut Sparkling Wine is racy and fresh. Bottle maturation provides hints of biscuit on the nose, and butter on the palate. As with all our Sparkling Wines, it is made using the same traditional method found on the continent, with a secondary fermentation in the bottle.
However, using different grape varieties to those found in the traditional areas of France results in slightly less austere, more aromatic, fruity flavours which have proved to be consistently popular over the years.
