Nutbourne Sussex Reserve 2022 (6 Magnum Bottles) Pulborough, West Sussex, England
£250.00
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
This “field blend” wine showcases the unique terroir of Nutbourne – combining the soil, the geography and the climate of our special corner of West Sussex. There is no other wine in the world to replicate it.
With tremendous freshness and wild fruit flavours, it is crisp, dry, and aromatic, combining our old vine Riesling-style German varietals with Pinot Noir.
Perfect to drink on its own but also has enough zing to stand up to spicy foods, lighter game birds or a wholesome fish pie.
The art: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features Bridget Gladwin’s paintings. This painting depicts the striking double-curtain trellising system in Winter. The individual vine stands as a sculpture, a thing of beauty and nobility in its own right.
About Nutbourne Vineyards
Nutbourne Vineyard is a family-run boutique estate in West Sussex, renowned for producing award-winning still and sparkling wines. Every step of the winemaking process, from grape to glass, takes place on-site, ensuring exceptional quality and authenticity. Owned by the Gladwin family since 1991, Nutbourne has become one of the finest boutique wine producers in the South East, offering wines that rival the best globally.
Nestled in a unique “terroir,” the estate benefits from a warm microclimate shielded by the South Downs, south-facing slopes, and fertile greensand soil, akin to the Champagne region in France. With 26 acres under vine and innovative trellising systems—Guyot, Scott Henry, and Geneva Double Curtain—the vineyard is meticulously tended year-round. Nutbourne grows eight grape varieties, including Bacchus, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, used for single varietals and sparkling blends.
The estate features a wine cave, barrel room, and modern winery where all wines are exclusively made. Led by Gregory Gladwin, with guidance from his father Peter and consultant winemaker Emma Rice, Nutbourne produces approximately 50,000 bottles annually, varying by vintage.
Visitors can enjoy guided tours, tastings, and scenic vineyard trails, complete with wildflower meadows, alpacas, and stunning views. Nutbourne wines are available online, at the cellar door, and through independent merchants nationwide. Sustainability is central to operations, with practises promoting biodiversity and reducing environmental impact. Beyond wine, the Gladwin family offers farm produce and serves their wines in their London “Local & Wild” restaurants. Nutbourne welcomes guests to discover the charm of English winemaking.

Albourne Estate Red Pinot Noir 2019 (6 Bottles) Albourne, West Sussex, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
This is our second vintage of Red Pinot Noir and displays a deeper, richer ruby colour and a more complex nose than our 2018 version. This is partly due to the vintage and partly due to increased use of the ‘saignee’ method during winemaking. The nose offers aromas of rich dark berries including black cherries backed by notes of cigarbox, black olives and dark chocolate. On the palate it delivers excellent body for a cool climate Pinot Noir with mature soft tannins, a balanced mouthfeel and a harmonious lingering finish. All of this wine has spent 12 months in a mix of new and old French oak barrels before being bottled by hand, unfined and unfiltered, under cork to allow gentle ageing.
Highly enjoyable with charcuteries cheese and nuts as an aperitif and great with a casserole or barbecued meats and vegetables.

Artelium Pinot Noir 2023 (6 Bottles) Streat, East Sussex, England

Juicy, crunchy, vibrant Pinot Noir all held in an elegant, very ‘classic’ structure. Concentrated brambles (blackberry) and black cherry, damson fruit overlaid with quintessential Pinot perfumed aromatics and subtle dry spice. Subtle fennel and violet give further aromatic complexity and intrigue. Medium-light, chalky tannins give the wine great texture, acidity is refreshing but well-integrated and harmonious. Long, complete finish with all components pulling-together to the end.
Balfour Leslie’s Gold NV (6 Bottles) Tonbridge, Kent, England

A wine which red apple characters dominate. Rich and unctuous, with flavours of ripe black and red fruits not often seen in traditional method sparkling wines. The fruit flavours combine wonderfully with an underlying creamy finish and fabulous hint of sweetness.
Leslie’s Reserve Gold NV is a rich, rounded, and approachable sparkling wine named after co-founder Leslie Balfour Lynn. As the first Leslie’s Sparkling wine to be produced, it bridges the gap between Brut and Demi-Sec styles with its slightly sweeter, extra dry character.
Biddenden Gribble Bridge Sparkling White 2018 (6 Bottles) Biddenden, Kent, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Good structure with a clean finish and attractive bready, baked notes. Intense and supple, this is clean, fresh and has depth. Made by the traditional method with Pinot Noir, Reichensteiner and Scheurebe.
Pinot Noir is one of the primary varieties used in sparkling wine production. It prefers a cooler climate and needs to remain on the vine long enough to capture the aromatics and fruit flavors.
