Ortega is an early ripening variety for the UK, which allows us to leave the grapes hanging on the vine as long as possible to achieve the optimum balance of fruit and acid. This is a dry, lightly oaked wine with subtle red apple and elderflower flavours and a hint of vanilla. The style is dry, alcohol 11% and its vegan friendly.

The perfumed nose of white peach and brioche is followed by an invigorating palate of taut minerality that compliments the white fruit and apricot notes. Champagne Gaston Chiquet has been passed down through eight generations since 1746, when Nicolas Chiquet planted his first vines. It was brothers Fernand and Gaston who, in 1919, made the bold decision to keep their grapes and producer their own wine. Committed to protecting their land for future generations, they have both the Champagne Sustainable Viticulture and High Environmental Value certification, which they were awarded in 2015.
Pale yellow colour, fine mousse. Expressive, fruity (citrus and banana) nose. Smooth palate (Meunier) maintaining the citrus notes, light finish.
12.5% ABV.

Champagne Gaston Chiquet has been passed down through eight generations since 1746, when Nicolas Chiquet planted his first vines. It was brothers Fernand and Gaston who, in 1919, made the bold decision to keep their grapes and producer their own wine. Since 2003, this property has been in the very capable hands of brothers Antoine and Nicolas Chiquet. Together with Marion (Antoine’s daughter) they work 23 hectares of vineyards in Dizy, Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Hautvillers.
Golden yellow hue, fine mousse. Fresh nose of dried fruit (apricot) with a hint of citrus. Smooth palate (Meunier); fresh, balanced and fruity (fresh apricot, white peach, citrus); aromatic finish.

Champagne Gratiot-Pillière Brut Tradition NV (6 Bottles) Champagne, France

The Gratiot-Pillière family’s focus has always been on quality, authenticity and value above all else. Winemakers since 1657, today the winery is in the hands of 11th generation brothers Olivier and Sébastien. The family vineyards cover 18 hectares of land, spread throughout the towns of Charly-Sur-Marne, Saulchery, Bonneil and Azy-Sur-Marne. Subtle blends of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from across varied terroirs give a style that is fresh, balanced and replete with delicate fruit.
A blond gold yellow tint surrounds the fine bubbles which rise slowly. The nose expresses itself with opulence, with mixed notes of ripe yellow fruits (mirabelle plum, fresh quince) and fruit in syrup. The palate is almost suave, with a nice persistence, supported by a light freshness that accompanies a warm finish.
