Flint Vineyard Charmat 2023 (6 Bottles) Bungay, Norfolk, England

bright, fresh and fruit-driven, made with a blend of sustainably grown, aromatic varieties that require minimal intervention in the vineyard. The grapes were pressed under nitrogen to retain their delicate flavours, with a proportion fermented in neutral oak to add complexity. Secondary fermentation was completed in tank using the Charmat Method, making this wine one of the first of its kind produced in England. This vibrant sparkling white is full of fresh lemon and pear. A crisp palate of melon and green apple lead to a bright finish, making it the perfect aperitif.

This off-dry vermouth has been hand crafted from distilled Sauvignon wine blended with Pinot Noir and a lovingly considered selection of botanicals.
Vibrant aromas of sweet orange, mint and kaffir lime leaf are complimented by bold black tea and sweet honeybush with a hint of bay leaf and toasted oak for added complexity. This wine is a blend of Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir from the 2023 vintage and has been crafted to create a light delicate, fresh but aromatic white blend that celebrates the very best of the North Downs.
The Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir were whole bunch pressed with the Chardonnay formed purely from the cuvee fraction of the whole bunch press. The Pinot Gris was crushed and destemmed with a 2-hour soak. There was an addition of tea leaf tannins to the tank fermented wine to reduce the amount of added sulphites. 24% of the Chardonnay was fermented and aged in barrel for six months and 10% of the Chardonnay came from our Chardonnay ‘solera’ reserve tank which we started in 2015

Yolande Beekman flew to NE France as a radio operator in September 1943. Unfortunately in January 1944 her transmissions were detected and she was captured and tragically executed at Dachau in September 1944.
