Founded by Tim Chafor in 2009, the 23-acre vineyard sits on historic terroir once part of the ancient Royal hunting forest of Bernwood. With a world-class winemaking team, Tim grows classic Champagne varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, alongside England’s signature grape Bacchus and Madeleine Angevine. A sophisticated dry rosé crafted from 55% Pinot Noir, 29% Pinot Précoce, and 16% Pinot Gris. This blend, featuring a fine Pinot Noir 779 clone and whole-bunch pressed, co-fermented Pinot Précoce and Pinot Gris, delivers a harmonious balance of elegance and complexity. With an alcohol content of 12%, refreshing acidity at 5.5 g/l, and minimal sugar (<1.0 g/l), it presents a beautifully clean profile.

Our rosé is made from pinot noir grapes sourced from Clayhill Vineyard in nearby Essex. The grapes are hand-picked into small crates then travel the short distance to our winery in Battersea. After a short cold soak, the grapes are pressed and fermented in old French oak.
The wine spends a further 8 months on lees in tank and barrel and 1 year in bottle prior to release. The result is an expressive and textured rosé with elements of strawberries and cream and ripe red cherry.
