Carr Taylor Sparkling Pinot (6 Bottles), Hastings, East Sussex, England

£199.00

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

An equal blend of fresh, crisp Pinot Blanc and the subtle fruit of Pinot Noir; an outstanding example of the elegance that can be achieved in England’s cool climate.

The perfumed nose of white peach and brioche is followed by an invigorating palate of taut minerality that compliments the white fruit and apricot notes. With hints of toast from bottle age which lends creaminess and a fine silky mousse, the complexity of flavours persist in the long, clean finish. 12%

About Carr Taylor

In 1969, David Carr Taylor's vision became reality when he planted a vineyard on his East Sussex family estate. The inaugural harvest in 1976 yielded 2,000 bottles, marking the beginning of Carr Taylor's success. Over four decades, we've cultivated a reputation for excellence, earning over 150 international awards. Our unique terroir, sheltered by the Hastings Ridge and benefiting from the Gulf Stream, allows us to produce crisp, aromatic wines with flavors echoing local fruits like green apple and pear.

Our vineyard's gentle slope, low altitude, and clay loam soils create an ideal environment. We've adapted German viticulture research to thrive in England's cool climate. Our Geneva Double Curtain trellising system optimizes yields and minimizes frost damage. As pioneers in English winemaking, we've evolved, replanting with Bacchus, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc. Our rustic winery, converted from 100-year-old stables, houses state-of-the-art equipment.

From harvesting to bottling, every step is taken on-site to preserve the natural flavors. Our passion for winemaking shines through in every bottle. Visit us and taste the essence of East Sussex. Join the Carr Taylor family on a journey through the rolling hills, vineyards, and winemaking traditions that make our wines truly special.
