Description
About Digby Fine English
We believe that England can produce sparkling wines that rival the best in the world. Through the art of blending and a commitment to ageing, we aim to delight wine lovers with a taste of England's unique terroir and spirit. Our namesake, Sir Kenelm Digby, was a 17th-century polymath who invented the modern wine bottle. We draw inspiration from his passion for innovation and excellence, adopting his academic rigour in our winemaking and zest for life in our hospitality.
As the country's leading blending house, we work with carefully selected vineyard partners across the South of England. Our wines are crafted from grapes grown on a diverse range of soils, including chalk, greensand, and clay. With a focus on terroir and a commitment to ageing, our wines are distinctive and complex, with a unique personality in every bottle. Visit our Tasting Room in Arundel, West Sussex, to learn more about our winemaking process and explore the surrounding wine regions that produce our grapes.
To past and present,
To modesty and refinement,
To foibles and follies,
To courage and curiosity,
To adventure and abandon,
To science and satire,
To bishops and brigands,
To green and pleasant,
To England.
