About Dropmore Vineyard
Dropmore Vineyard is the realisation of a dream shared by John and Feona Petersen. Inspired by a visit to New Zealand's Marlborough wine region in 2005, they embarked on a journey to create a small, boutique vineyard in their backyard in Buckinghamshire. After extensive research and completing viticulture courses at Plumpton College, they planted their first vines in 2008. The vineyard, situated near Burnham Beeches, boasts a gentle south-east facing slope with excellent soil, ideal for growing a range of grape varieties.
Today, Feona Petersen continues to develop the legacy created by her husband, producing award-winning wines from five grape varieties: Bacchus, Chardonnay, Ortega, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir. Our wines have won numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals at regional and national wine challenges, including the best still wine in the 2013 T&CVA challenge.
