About Pattingham Vineyard

Pattingham Vineyard was born from a love of food, wine, and family gatherings, whether on long summer days or cosy winter nights. In 2016, the family purchased land near their home on the outskirts of Pattingham, a picturesque South Staffordshire village. Despite having little knowledge of winemaking, their dedication and passion set the foundation for what would become a thriving vineyard.

With south-facing slopes, natural spring water, and free-draining sandy soil, the land was ideal for growing vines. Its history as grazing land meant no chemical exposure, enabling a sustainable, low-impact approach to winemaking. By 2018, vines were planted, and with minimal intervention, the vineyard thrived. Initially spanning four acres, the vineyard has grown to twelve, producing around 30,000 bottles of award-winning still and sparkling wines annually, beginning with its first major harvest in 2021.

Art also plays a vital role at Pattingham Vineyard. Inspired by 1950s St Ives artists like Peter Lanyon and Terry Frost, their label designs stem from original oil paintings by artist Stu Perry, who incorporated aerial views of the land into his work. Each label is uniquely suited to its wine, reflecting the vineyard’s connection to nature and creativity.

Proudly family-run, the vineyard offers a welcoming space for visitors while producing exceptional wines in harmony with its environment. Pattingham Vineyard is a testament to hard work, artistry, and the pursuit of excellence in English winemaking.
