About Stonepit Vineyard

Stonepit Vineyard is nestled near the historic market town of Olney in North Buckinghamshire. Our story began in April 2018 when John and Fiona planted the vineyard on a gently sloping, south-facing field with a limestone bed. The name "Stonepit" Vineyard originates from the farm's original name before it was renamed Rectory Farm. After nurturing the vines for several years, we harvested our first vintage in April 2021.

Our goal is to produce boutique wines, including white, red, rosé, and from summer 2024, sparkling white and rosé. Our white wine is made from the Bacchus grape, our red from the Regent grape, and our rosé from a combination of both. We're thrilled to have won gold medals for our white and rosé wines, with the latter featured on BBC Radio's Bill Buckley Show.

Our bottle labels feature a charming illustration of our vines, Olney town bridge, and the church. Take a closer look at the clock tower – it's always nearly six o'clock somewhere!
