About Woodchester Valley Vineyard
In 2007, Fiona Shiner embarked on a pioneering journey, planting the first vines at Woodchester Valley Vineyard in the Cotswolds. Despite the challenges of a wet first summer, Fiona's determination and passion for viticulture flourished. With the support of her family, Fiona expanded the vineyard, acquiring a second site and eventually a third, bringing the total area under vine to 58 acres. In 2016, a state-of-the-art winery was established, and Jeremy Mount joined as winemaker.
Fiona's vision has borne fruit, with Woodchester Valley Vineyard producing over 100,000 bottles of award-winning still and sparkling wines annually. The vineyard has become a beloved destination, attracting over 10,000 visitors each year.
As you sit in the spacious tasting room, surrounded by the picturesque limestone valley, you'll feel transported to the Loire Valley. Fiona's pioneering spirit has proven that the southwest can rival the southeast in producing exceptional English wines.
