Sparkling Pét-Nat

Pétillant Naturel—commonly called Pét-Nat—is one of the oldest and trendiest sparkling wine styles, made using the ancestral method. Unlike Champagne or Prosecco, Pét-Nat is bottled before fermentation is complete, allowing natural bubbles to form in the bottle without secondary fermentation or heavy intervention.

The result is a sparkling wine that is often rustic, cloudy, and unfiltered, with a lively spritz and huge personality. Styles vary widely, but you can expect flavours of fresh apple, pear, citrus, wild berries, and floral notes, often with a touch of yeast, brioche, or funk from its natural production. Alcohol levels tend to be moderate, and many are made with minimal or no added sulphites.

For UK drinkers, Pét-Nat is perfect for adventurous palates. It pairs beautifully with charcuterie, artisanal cheeses, seafood, or light vegetarian dishes, while also being a fun, conversation-starting alternative to classic sparkling wines.
