Since 2006, under the stewardship of Owner and Chief Executive Eric Heerema, Nyetimber has reached new heights. Eric’s vision, shared by Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs and Winemaker Brad Greatrix, has led to global acclaim, with Nyetimber wines celebrated for their elegance and excellence. Cherie and Brad meticulously assess each vineyard and vintage, ensuring the highest standards of quality from vine to bottle. Grapes are handpicked, gently pressed, and vinified using the traditional method, followed by extended ageing and generous post-disgorgement time to enhance complexity and flavour.
Nyetimber’s history dates back to its mention in the Domesday Book of 1086. The estate’s modern legacy began in 1988 with the planting of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier vines. Today, the winery is a pioneer in English sparkling wine, blending art and science to create masterpieces.
